ch-1 Chemical Reaction and Equations

Chemical Reaction

  • Chemical Reaction is the processes in which  new substances formed with new properties.
  • A Chemical Reaction is a process that occurs when two or more molecules interact to form a new product(s).

  • Compounds that interact to produce new compounds are called reactants whereas the newly formed compounds are called products.
  • In chemical reaction chemical changes are occur .
  • In chemical reaction atom of one element do not change into other element.
  • Rearrangement of atom take place  in a chemical reaction.
  • A reaction can take place between two atoms or ions or molecules, and they form a new bond and no atom is destroyed or created but a new product is formed from reactants.
  • The rate of reaction is affected by factors like pressure, temperature, the concentration of reactants.

Components of Chemical Reactions

  • Reactants
  • Product

(Reactant )   A + B  =>  C + D   ( Product)

Reactants

  • The substance which take a part in chemical reaction is called Reactants.
  • It is placed LHS  with a positive sign between them.
  • Arrow placed after reactants.

Product

  • The substance  which find after reactions is called product .
  • It is placed  RHS  with plus sign between them.
  • The arrowhead pointed towards the product.

  1. Atoms and molecules are thought to be the fundamental building units of matter in the cosmos. Around 500 B.C., Maharishi Kand proposed a hypothesis that if we repeatedly split matter, we will eventually reach a point where further division is impossible, known as "pramanu." These particles were referred to be atoms by ancient Greek philosophers Democritus and Leucippus. So, what exactly are atoms and molecules?
